Bathtubs

If you elect to get an acrylic/fiberglass tub or shower to save money, don't assume (as I did when getting Judy's house built) that all such tubs/showers are the same.

The long side of the tub on the left curves in at the center where you want the MOST space. Such tubs are narrow to begin with, and the last thing you want is to make them feel even MORE cramped by needlessly curving the wall up against you.

In contrast, the tub on the right actually bows OUT in the center and the enclosure wall above it indents AWAY in the center, maximizing your space in the tub.

The tub on the left has indented lines on the enclosure walls, supposedly to resemble tile, though looking nothing like tile, of course, yet equally as difficult to clean.

The tub on the right has smooth walls and can be squeegeed clean after a shower quite easily.

Judy had intended to get a glass partition/door on the tub above, but when she saw how much space was lost due to the design of the tub, she decided to go with a shower curtain instead. I found the following curved curtain rod at Lowes which creates more space to shower by curving the curtain away from the tub:
